Interactive music making is a targeted intervention that happens in small groups once a week for a period of six weeks at Robert Owen. It supports children’s self-expression and communication skills as well as helping develop self-regulation and intrinsic motivation. One of our early years assistants, Amy, has recently completed her training as an Interactive Music Maker practitioner. Her presentation was chosen to be featured on the Interactive Music Marking website. It gives a wonderful insight into the process of Interactive Music Making and how it benefits children’s personal development and expression.
