Fundraising for Water trays for the Nursery

Ruth Mercer is running The Big Half Marathon to raise money for Robert Owen Nursery School

The children and staff have always wanted a large water feature in the nursery garden and Ruth hopes to raise some money towards this through running the Big Half Marathon (from Tower Bridge and ending in Greenwich) on Sunday 10th March.

Water play is a key feature of childen's learning. Water play affords:

mathematical development

scientific understanding

supports communicationa and language

builds relationships in turn taking and sharing
