Fundraising and the Future

Hello and welcome to my newsletter. Here, I plan to highlight what you can do to help our nursery to maintain the outstanding education and support provided on a daily basis. Austerity has caused severe cuts to education, and all other public services, but most importantly it has widened the gap for disadvantaged children, significantly affecting their life chances. Nursery schools were originally formed to tackle such social injustice, and although the government recognises that “The evidence is clear that early years education for children below the age of four has a positive impact on the life chances of disadvantaged children”, nursery schools have, essentially, been forgotten in recent funding formulas forcing some to close and leaving the future of all nursery schools in England uncertain.      Read more.......
